My family of 3 visited the Frisco location on Friday the 6th at 9:15pm.
My Sony ordered the (adult) chicken tenders, my husband and I the chicken fried steak. When the food arrived we noticed immediately that the chicken tenders were incredibly small. I would say maybe half the size, but we are so hungry and couldn’t find the server to flag her to ask about them immediately. When she came in the middle of our dinner, I asked her why the tenders were so small, she proceeded to tell me the following: “Yes, we have changed the size of the chicken tenders because they we were throwing a lot of chicken, so we decided to cut them in half, so because of that now you get 8 chicken tenders instead of seven”. my husband and I just looked at each other in disbelief, because she was basically telling us that (if her math is correct)that now we have four tenders instead of seven, and still paying $19.99 for them. As you can understand for a teenager -four tenders, salad and biscuits was not enough food, and definitely not worth $19.99. For that amount I can go to many other restaurants that serve tenders, and probably buy two whole meals with drinks. I’m just writing to make sure that the information our server gave us is correct. My husband and I ordered Chicken Fried steak, and the portion was exactly as it used to be. So I’m just a little bit confused as to why the tenders were cut in half, but this other entrees were still the same size.
I hope to hear back from you to get clarity on the new portion size and price. Babe’s is a restaurant we have continuously visit since 2001 on that dirt road in Roanoke, and where we always take out of town visitors because of it’s uniqueness.
Looking forward to hearing back from you,
