Complaint from Andy Risley

Last Saturday, myself, my wife, and a friend visiting from Oklahoma wanted to go out for dinner. The last time my friend came down we went to Babe's Chicken in Arlington. Super impressed as I have always been with Babe's.

We decided to go back to Babe's. When we walked in it was not very crowded. We were the only ones waiting to be seated. It took the two people at the front counter about five minutes to decide where to seat us, strike one. The guy walked us to our seat, pointed at the place where he wanted us to sit turned and left, not a single word, strike two. It was so dark in the restaurant, we almost got up and left, but decided that the quality of the food was more than worth it, strike three. It took over five minutes before a waiter came to the table, OK we can deal with that. When the waiter finally got there, he told us what the menu items were. Me and my friend ordered the chicken fried steak, my wife ordered the catfish. The waiter never asked for drink orders. As he was turning to leave, I asked about drinks. He turned and looked at us, again, not a word was spoken. We gave him our drink orders and he turned and left, again, not a single word. About thirty minutes later, our food arrived, still no drinks, he grinned and said oops, I will be right back with your drinks. came back about ten minutes later with our drinks, we asked if we could have silverware, or do we eat with our fingers. Without a word, he left and came back about five minutes later with our silverware. We proceeded to eat our now cold dinner. My wife asked me to taste he catfish. the grease it was cooked in was burned, and you could taste it in the catfish. Some of the worst catfish I have ever eaten. the chicken fried steak was OK, but not as good as Waffle Houses $10.00 chicken fried steak. The vegetables were awesome, the biscuits looked like small hockey pucks and almost as hard. Very unsatisfied with Babe's, will not return.
